Review: The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Last week I read The Kite Runner. Finally. I've heard about it for so long. Thing is, I don't think I was really listening. Sure I knew it was about an Afghani boy and some sort of betrayal. What I didn't realize was how the story was mostly set before 2001; set before Afghanistan became a country that I heard about every day. It was great to read about life there before the wars.; How things seemed 'normal' by Western standards.
Anyway, I'm sure all of you have already read it, and probably seen the movie too, so I won't actually go on about how I enjoyed it. I have yet to see the movie - I wonder if it's the type of thing Blockbuster would carry?
